Epistemic humility>>> being right
Admitting that in every situation you have no knowledge you cannot take action as action=moral judgement that requires evaluation of situation via ethical framework and this evaluation required information you are not in possession of.
So when will you have information? When topics are important to you. Then you can take action on these topics.
This should lead to a system where people have less issues they truly care about, as they are not internally required to take positions on issues they do not care to gather information for. Therefore potential to hold more information per topic, allowing them to make better moral judgements and take action that leads to better results.
Epistemic Humility is foundational to a valid and high value epistemic framework. It is also a desirable value for social groups to signal to members, as even though social epistemic practices are adopted rather than analysed and arrived at independently, a person being aware they're beliefs are open to changing allows to potentially explore issues outside of the adopted positions dictated by the social group.
